Steadfast Love

The faithfulness and love of Christians and Jews and others towards Israel will be severely tested before the coming of the Lord.

As Israel continues to tenaciously struggle for its identity and calling as The Chosen People by the Sovereign YHVH God, the steadfast love for the least of Yeshua’s brethren [in the flesh] — BECAUSE they are His nation to whom He is returning to restore the Kingdom of God — will become more and more politically incorrect in a world departing more and more from the God who made the world.

As Israel increasingly shows itself as a nation — and as the Israeli and Jewish people show as a people — that they are the enemy of the gospel, the capacity of born-again believers in Jesus/Yeshua to maintain their faith in God’s purpose to redeem and to save His people is going to be strained to the uttermost.

The faith of the friends of the Israeli Jewish believers is going to be tried in maintaining their love, for Yeshua’s sake, as we show ourselves imperfect in your expectations of us. The answer to the prayer of our Lord for our oneness and love will be answered supernaturally: it will not be according to any methodology on the part of believers; nor will it be merely ‘grown into’. It will require an intervention of the Holy Spirit as through groanings of labor and birth pains of a mother.

Martin Luther was not a Jew, and he found us a burden too heavy to bear. The apostle Paul was a Jew, and although he, too, got exasperated with his own people for their unbelief and hardness of heart, it was the very fact that he never gave up his identity and love for his people that he managed to bear such a burden — with the help of the grace and power of God.

The love of Israeli and Jewish believers in Yeshua towards our Gentile brothers and sisters — and for the Church, the Body of Messiah — will be likewise tested as we see them falter just as we have and do.
