Ex. 20:1-3; Deut. 5:6-8    I am the LORD your God who brought you out of theland ofEgypt, out of            the house of bondage; You shall have no other gods before me; You shall not make for yourself a carved image; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them, for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting iniquity, but doing lovingkindness to those who love Me and keep my commandments.

Lev. 19:1-3   You shall be holy, for I, the LORD your God, am holy; Do not turn to idols, nor make them

1 Sam. 15: 22-23    Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, to heed than the fat of rams.  For rebellion is the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is iniquity and idolatry.

1 Cor. 5: 10-11    Do not keep company with anyone named a brother who is . . . covetous, an idolater. . . .

1 Cor. 8: 4-7; Rev. 2: 14, 20    We know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one. . .the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Messiah, through whom are all things, and through whom we exist and live.

1Cor.10: 6,7,14,19-22    These things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.   And do not become idolaters as some of them, as it is written, ‘The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose to play’.   Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry. . . I do not want you to have fellowship with demons.  You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons.  Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy?

2 Cor. 6: 14-18    Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. . . And what agreement has the temple of God with idols?  For you are the temple of the living God.  As God has said. . . ‘Come out from among them and be separate. . .I will be their God, and they shall be My people; I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says YHVH of Hosts.

Col. 3:5-6    Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth:  . . .covetousness, which is idolatryBecause of these things the wrath of  God is coming upon the sons of disobedience.

1 John 5:18-21    We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.  We know that we are of God and the whole world lies in the wicked one.  And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ.  This is the true God and eternal life.  Little children, keep yourselves from idols.

Rev. 22: 14-15    Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the Tree of Life, and may enter through the gates into the city.  But outside are…idolaters. . . .
