A “package deal”, the biggest of its kind in the State of Israel’s history, has been agreed to and signed between the government and the local Municipality of Beer Sheva.   This “roof agreement” includes plans to build 20,000 new housing units in the city by 2019, with an expected 50% increase in the population from the present 200,000 to around 300,000, making Beer Sheva the 3rd largest city in Israel, according to current figures.

This plan comes on the heels of the military move southward, and of Beer Sheva becoming the cyber hub of the country.
