The special and uncommon series of lunar eclipses the last two years which fell twice each at Passover and at the Feast of Booths are finished. Apart from some interesting astronomy, nothing unusual occurred which could be attributed ominously to these “blood moons”. This huge and very unpleasant heavy dust yellowed the skies of Beer Sheva and all of Israel for three days last week. This was accompanied by higher than normal humidity levels, which simply made everything much more uncomfortable. The reason I am thinking and writing about this now is because, although the haboob has moved out, there is still a higher level of dust floating and settling around us here.
