A ceasefire has just gone into effect betweeen Hamas and Israel in Operation Pillar of Cloud (Defense). Following eight days of heavy rocket attacks upon mostly southern Israeli cities, but also including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, along with Israeli air strikes on terrorist strongholds, both sides agreed to a ceasefire brokered by the U.S. and Egypt. Since last night we have been inundated with a barrage of rocket attacks from Gaza in Beer Sheva. After more than 100 rockets fired into southern Israel the last few days, the Israeli government decided to act forcefully to hopefully this time cause Hamas and the other terrorist organizations and sponsors of terror to re-consider their policies towards Israel.
